I havenít heard any of the journalists who volunteered to be waterboarded asking to have their fingernails wrenched out with pliers, or electrodes attached to their genitals.

Same here. I've made it a subconscious habit to untuck my shirt from the seatbelt as soon as I buckle up. If I'm at a light or in an, um, interesting neighborhood, my hand is resting on the grip of my G27.

I'd attempt to set a new record for "criminal dragged the longest distance by car door."

Any one who uses a bank drive through or card to with draw money late at at night is asking for trouble. We recently had a LEO killed at 11:30 at night while with drawing money. If you are out of money for the for the fast food place use your credit card instead. It's a lot safer. The best self defense is common sense. The LEO was experienced vetern with 20 years on the force.

For a while, I kept it between the seats in a pocket holster. The pressure of the seat and console are enough grip to make it an easy fast draw. However, I think if a thug were to car-jack me at gunpoint, I would not want him to see that I have a gun right at my fingertips.

I'm afraid that should I be forced from my vehicle somehow, that my gun could be left behind. Better that it stays secure in it's holster on my hip. Exiting the vehicle may present an opportunity to draw and fire while the BG is distracted. Who knows.

I don't like the idea of taking it OFF while in public. Kinda like wearing it in a purse if you are female...
