    Fondled date?

So obviously carrying makes you want to avoid confrontation forcing us (when Im old enough) to let things roll off our backs at times but what would you do in this situation?

Say its a first date, you really like the girl (doesn't really apply to guys) and want to make a good impression, you are carrying at the time. Your walking in a crowded theater or mall or whatever and some guy sneaks a feel or grope.

Do you just ignore it???? What if its was your wife, make any difference??

What if she gets mad that you didn't do anything? Explain and disclose that you are carrying?

Tough call. I'd let the bad guy get away with it, then explain using humor to calm the girl down. "Honey I love grabbing your butt, and it just doesn't seem fair to shoot a guy for liking your butt too." or something like that. So yes I would tell her at that time I was carrying. If the BG came around a second time I'd figure he was looking for more and bigger trouble. Then it would be time to draw my weapon.

I haven't gotten all that many years behind me yet and am college aged myself but really, if it's just in passing, the best thing in my mind would be to just let it go and ignore it. If it's a bit more forward, I'd just say Hey! and hopefully, if your girl really cares about you, she'd get ticked about it too. If she's worth a darn, she won't get too mad about you handling it that way. On a first date I'd never explain or disclose that I am carrying. Nobody needs to hear a word come out of my mouth about that. If you know I'm carrying, it's either accidental or you're looking down the wrong end of my pistol.

Good point. I've been married for so long I can't remember what a first date is like. Sooner or later though she'll have to know, and if she freaks out about it maybe she's not the right one.

Re: disclosing about carrying: My fiance here tells me that had she known I was carrying on our very first meeting, she never would have continued to go out with me. But this is that cultural thing around here where people have never handled a gun, never fired one, never seen one except on TV.
I had what I always have, a .357 Ruger SP101 in my front right pocket of my pants, inside a pocket holster. I thought nothing of it, my dad having been from Okla and me having a .22 when I was ten years old.
But if I had told her I was carrying, that would not have boded well.
Totally depends on where you live in this country and people who do not know about guns are not necessarily ANTI gun, just ignorant of guns and what they are for. Not in a malicious way, though.
I would just see how she feels about firearms in general first, then break it to her gently :) Then you might have to choose between your new girlfriend or Mr Ruger....hmmmmmmmmmmm
Well, honey, I guess we ain't right for each other. :)

Although I don't think this is a realistic scenario, I will play along sort of. Since I have been married longer than I have been carrying, although that really doesn't make a diffence in the way that I would respond, there would most likely be one single blow to the solar plexus or jaw, depending on his size in relation to mine. Then I would continue with what I was doing before. There would be no warning or words spoken. There would be no discusion of what weapon I was carrying.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Actually that would be a good approach since the other guy would have had no excuse if it was clearly a case of him doing it on purpose. Words would not make a difference, so I agree with that.
Carrying, as I said, need to bring that up gradually if they are spooked by firearms. Maybe take them over to the NRA site under Publications, then ARMED CITIZEN feature every month where real-life citizens defended themselves from injury or death. That might make an impression.

    Chorus:
If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life,
Never make a pretty woman your wife.
So from my personal point of view,
Get an ugly girl to marry you.

    Chorus

A pretty woman makes her husband look small,
And very often causes his downfall.
As soon as he marries her, then she starts,
To do the things that will break his heart.

But if you make an ugly woman your wife,
You'll be happy for the rest of your life.
An ugly woman cooks meals all the time,
She'll always give you peace of mind.

    Chorus

Don't let your friends say you have no taste,
    Go ahead and marry anyway.
Her face is ugly, her eyes don't match.
Take it from me, she's a better catch.

    Chorus

    Say, man?
    Hey baby!
I saw your wife the other day.
    Yeah?
Yeah, and she's sure is ugly. Ha!
Yeah, she's ugly, but she sure can cook, baby!
    Yeah, alright.
    Unfortunately, she has acne.
    That's a shame, baby.
    Yeah, baby.

Legally the guy just committed sexual battery,If it's a first date and she says hey that guy groped me I will say do you want the police called,If you have a CHL and get involved in a fight and people say you were the agressor you could lose you're CHL license,we are not cops we try to avoid confrontation,in that situation you have time to allow cops to do their job ,there are times that you will not have the ability to wait for LEO as it's a matter of life or death
