I'd have to agree with Thumper. 2 or 3 of the males (I'm not dignifying them with the title "men") should have restrained this nut within the first minute.

The men in that office should have banned together and took him down sooner then they did.

Looks fake. Unless the spectators were all on thorazine, they would have left the room at a trot.

They taser him in the end. Funny stuff.

They should have stomped him as soon as he started. I would have.

That was a little more than property damage. He assaulted any person that was within his reach. And no I would not have used OC. In a confined room, that stuff can have an affect on everyone.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

The knee jerk response is to say tackle the guy. Which was my thought. What a perfect opportunity to field test a few of my moves.

However something to consider is the fact that this guy apparently worked with all of these other people. So we don't know who was his best friend, whether he had already bullied people in the officer or anything else. It would be more shocking to see somebody that you know and have worked with just suddenly go off. It might cause you to pause longer before acting. Although I agree this guy "bought the ticket" and somebody needed to "give him the ride."

    +1 too goofy.
It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.

    +1 pm the assault.

He assaulted at least 3 people.
Then, there was the property damage.

If real, get people out of there, then OC and takedown looks like the best option.

Not a 'gun' situation. Probably, given the way companies think today, your best bet is to report him to management and stay out of it.

I'd have tried to get the people who were just standing around staring to snap out of it and head out the door, while trying to avoid taking a computer monitor upside the head. I'm also leaving myself, quickly, and with or without my coworkers; I'm not taking anybody down, socking anyone in the face, or drawing, unless someone is literally going to die or get seriously messed up if I don't. I could care less if the office gets trashed.

Amen...I would have had to at least, cowboy up to protect the women in the office and tackled the idiot and put a beat down on him...just seems like the appropriate thing to do.
