What would you do ? - Russian office worker freaks out
IF you worked in this office;
IF the employer did not have an anti-gun policy;
IF you were carrying at work;
What would you have done in this situation ?

I don't think I would have drawn my weapon, but he would have had trouble seeing out both eyes for the next several days.

I wouldn't pull my gun, but would likely tackle the stupid freak, or at least find something to beat the living daylights out of the guy. Everyone just stood there in a panic. This is why evil exist because people do nothing about it. Oh, it's not my responsibility, oh it's not my problem. What ever. We are all responsible for our own common defense, and if we all don't pitch in, the whole system breaks down.

As soon as he went crazy and rationalizing went out the window, I would have had someone call 911 and tell every one to find the nearest exit. Let the Police handle it unless he actually advanced on me with some type of deadly weapon.

I think OC spray probably would have been appropriate.
I love how everyone just stands there like surprised sheep.
IF possible, I would have taken charge of the situation and started ushering co-workers out the doors as quickly as possible. If that was not an option, restraining the guy flipping out is probably the best option.

That was my first instinct, but then I thought about it more thoroughly.
The other people in the office are obviously painfully oblivious sheep. If that guy gets violent, they don't even seem capable of defending themselves.
If I worked there, odds are I'd have some respect for my coworkers, and couldn't stand there and watch them get bulldozed by an angry jerk. So as I said, I'd usher as many people out the door as quickly as possible, and apply OC as necessary.
I agree with dialing 911 ASAP and letting the videotapes make your statement for you.

Pete Zaria.

Yeah, I'd get the women to safety and then address the psycho. I don't see any reason to pull a weapon from anything i see in the video though.

I wouldn't draw my gun, but I am pretty sure I wouldn't stand there and watch either. I would have had some one call 911 and then held the guy until the cops got there. He needs a serious beating. I would have probably laid in to him with one of those monitor cords after he threw one of them.

I guess I could have added......"encourage others to do the same".
Nothing but property damage. Easy to back off and let him have at it until someone who gets paid for dealing with nutjobs gets there.

Tell everyone to get out as quickly and safely as possible and call 911.

I would really love to hear the back story that goes with this...ie WHY he flipped.

From the video, it looks like he flipped out over the guy knocking the papers off his desk. He probably had other issues as well, but that seems to be what made him snap.

From what I saw in the video he was just destroying property. Not a good enough reason for me to introduce my weapon into the scene, although shooting him might have been the merciful thing to do.
