I probably would have said to her: "I don't think the people in the bathrooms could hear her so she might want to count out the money a little louder next time."
Next depending on where I am, if I felt it necessary, I'd go directly to a high bank official and ask for an excort to my car since the teller has let it be known to all in the bank how much money I'd be walking out with.
Or, you could deposit it directly back into the account and tell the teller "let's do this again correctly".

Did you even try to ask her to be quiet? It would put a stop to the problem immediately and if not, then you go see the higher powers and you do it on the spot, not hours or days later.

I did a reply to your tread and it read like I was attacking you, that was not the intent. If i would have proofread, I would have caught it. isaiah357 I apologize to you. That was meant for the teller.

Counting out loud serves no purpose, but now that you mention it, my bank is very quiet about making withdrawals...never a peep can be heard...even one window away...I appreciate that.
I'm also glad that it's never a problem for CCW in a FL bank.

'Bout ten years ago at the South Miami 1st National Bank that a drive thru banker was murdered in her car. 'Course it was very late. DUH. When I do the drive thru I make my wife or my daughter pull 360 security and warn me of any approach or even if another car joins me in line while I concentrate on the computer keypad. Always keep my H&K under my right thigh ready to rock. Re-holster after I leave the bank.

I don't use a bank for daily transactions, but a credit union, about the same I guess, other than the fact that rarely are there more than 1 or two others in the place.

I don't worry too much about how they count money, and I guess I haven't paid that much attention when I have withdrew $1,000 or more as to how loud they were counting. I always have my pistol on me when I go in there anyway.

Like others have said if it bothers you say something either to the teller then and there, or the manager or whomever. But it really isn't that big of a deal in my book. Heck people cash those size checks at liquour stores every Friday night and walk out with their cash and beer, wine, liquor or whatever.

Oh, and sorry for fact that you live in WI where you don't have the option of carrying. I spent a week there a few weeks ago and felt naked the whole time.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

You guys actually go inside banks? Sounds crazy. :)

I like drive throughs. I wouldn't walk inside convenience stores either, if I had a choice.

I avoid convenience stores and gas station stores; almost never go in anymore. I try to use drive-thrus at fast food places, and I don't go to ATMs anymore. I get my cash at the credit union, or as "extra cash" when I go to the grocery or drug store.

    Saves a lot of worry.....

My Credit Union is ALWAYS packed far worse than the local banks, however with 30,000 teachers in this county and only a few credit union locations that makes sense, I guess. I teach in the 4th largest school district in the country. Ours credit unions are always quiet tho maybe because the main location has Miami Dade Police HQ and MCU (Major Crimes Unit) literally right across the street.
