I agree with the getting in vice getting out comment...most real life cases support this scenario. And where you park is also a factor in this light as well...far away...out of sight...not in a well lit area... no one can hear you...you have your keys out...you are focussed on getting your stuff in the car, so you unlock all the doors...etc etc.
