*shudder*
Man, I just gave myself the creeps. Thanks a lot, JD.
One of the French researcher's name is Jean Baptiste Vincent Laborde; and, one of the more gripping accounts is the aftermath of the beheading of a prisoner named Languille (pronounced Lun-gwee). Look it up, it's a bit creepy; but, yes I would agree the head is "alive" after decapitation.
For me, if I was trapped in an alley with no way out, surrounded by hundreds, if not thousands of zombies; then, yes I would probably save one for myself. Or, as mentioned earlier if I were already bitten. Otherwise....To the Death!!

There are fates worse than death. If the girl in the movie knew she was going to be tortured and murdered, her action was logical. Some deaths are preferable to others; someone with 100% fatal cancer could reach a rational decision to die with dignity rather than become a vegetable in a hospital bed attached to a ventilator.
There are numerous records of wars where, for good reason, participants of one side would suicide rather than be captured, including settlers versus Comanches and Soviet Army versus mujahideen resistance in Afghanistan. I personally can't imagine ever facing such a choice, but who knows the future?

The only way I'd off myself intentionally would be if I'd be taking BGs with me...perferably lots of them. Last bullet in the chamber=Last dead BG

The only circumstances I would ever commit suicide in would be if I was being overrun by zombies, I was cornered, my team is dead and I was down to my last magazine, or I was in a war zone.. say in Iraq.. my squad was dead and I had enemies moving in from all sides with no hope of escape.. id likely wait until they moved in to capture or execute me and id blow any explosives I had, or if I was sick with terminal cancer and I was dying an agonizing death, rather than die ******* myself and puking all over the place I would rather end it with a bit of dignity and such by slitting my own throat or putting one through my mouth.

I would fight to the end and let God decide if it's my time. I would use the very last round in the biggest or heaviest armed person, and then fight the rest.
I have a black belt in martial arts as well, and would go down fighting.

Thoughts?
Perhaps if it were a hand-grenade; wait until they're next to you, though
