Do you want to rely on this 911 operator, with your life ?
YouTube - Husband Shoots Burglar During 911 Call
The 911 operator is an imbecile..... and is not concerned about the burglary in progress.... and is then 'amazed' when he finds out Leroy has a gun, and seems more concerned with that than anything leading up to it..
You have to hear this one for yourself.

Good job on the homeowners part, the 911 operator sounds like he needs additional training.

Imagine the Joe Horn shooting in Texas, where a neighbor's call to 911 was followed by him taking out the two thieves ...
911: What was that address, again, Mr. Horn?
Horn: I'm not gonna let 'em get away.
911: What kind of gun do you have?
Horn: <pause> ... What KIND of gun? It's a side-by-side 1873 shotgun, bub, just like my daddy done taught me to use.
911: Is that the one with the single-set or double-set trigger?
Horn: <pause> ... Whaaa ...? Now, look! They're getting away! I'm not gonna let 'em get away with this. I'm goin' out there.
911: Mr. Horn! Don't go out there. I'd like to ask you a few more questions about your shotgun, sir ... Hey! ... Mr. Horn?? <BOOM>

Guess that got the police there with a "greater sense of urgency".
Would've been better to hear....
911: "He's got a gun? What kind of gun does he have?"
Mrs. Leroy: "A kind of gun that shoots thugs breaking into our home"

I'm guess'n the 911 operator was sending info to the cops on the street using a keyboard as he was asking for additional information. You can sound like a real jackass under those circumstances. I'm also guess'n he wanted to keep her on the phone so he'd record what took place. If she hangs up valuable information could be lost.
