I am proud of my wife
I came home Tuesday and the M1 carbine was on the breakfast nook table. I asked my wife why she had the carbine on the table. She said that there were unsupervised inmates cleaning the street and alley in front and behind our house.
She got the carbine out of my closet and put in a central location of the house and stuck her Taurus 605 in her pocket. Her idea was that wether she was in the kitchen or living room playing with our son if some one came in she could grab our son and easily run to the breakfast nook (in the center of our house) were the carbine was.
For the record the Police station is within view of our backdoor and that is where the inmates supervisor was in the Police station.

Good for her - prevention is invariably better than cure! Or something like that
As you of course know - you have a real keeper there.

I think your wife did great. One question though is why were the inmates unsupervised. I think I would go to the police station and find out.

The Inmates where preforming there hours of community service and according to the Police Chief when I asked they were supervised. I guess someone was looking out of a window at them
