Child being menaced by group of dogs.
Woman being menaced by group of dogs.
Man being menaced by a group of dogs.
Woman being menaced by group of men.
Which of these scenarios would you react to? Then explain how/why.
But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself...

OK, I found the poll.
I have to decline to answer due to the ambiguity of the question, sorry.
I said all, but I may react different to each, but you will get a reaction out of me.

ANY person being targeted by a pack (more than 1) dogs is in serious danger. They are not teasing, looking for a good time, or looking for money. How I intervene is a matter of environment.
Woman being menaced by a group of men;
Given that it is obvious that she appears to be in danger, from a reasonable distance (more than 21 feet) I will already be speaking with 911, and will loudly ask the woman if she is OK. The group of men if they have any malice intended are going to focus on me. Where it goes from there who knows but I have distance and 911 recording whatever happens.

Good thing the poll was multiple choice. Yup...I voted for all. Each handled differently of course.Which of these would you react to?
I'd likely respond/react to all........ Like others, the actual reaction would depend on the individual circumstances.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
I would have to react to all of them.
I would naturally be inclined to respond to anyone, truly in danger for their life, whether by men or dogs. (In some cases, what's the difference? Menacing men or menacing dogs?)
It’s so much easier now days, to "Love and honor" my wife, when she is armed, and shoots a better group than I do. (Till death do us part, eh?)
“The way you get shot by a concealed weapons permit holder is, you point a gun at him,” the Sheriff said.
I would react to all of them
A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.
yup, every one of them. Children, women, and then the guy. In that order. The reaction would vary of course, depending on the breed and size of dogs. Not exactly going to empty clips on a pack of Shih Tzu's.
"Let a man never stir on his road a step
without his weapons of war;
for unsure is the knowing when need shall arise
of a spear on the way without."
It would vary depending on all of the circumstances involved in each situation, but I'll be going to help in all 4.
"Don't hit a man if you can possibly avoid it; but if you do hit him, put him to sleep." - Theodore Roosevelt
Definitely going in to help in any case.
Though, sitting here, the thought of a man getting mauled by a pack of Shi Tzus is almost humorous.
I definatly say all. Could be life or death in every situation.
