    Feels good, doesn't it.
I got to help out myself about a year ago.
I was on the way home from running a few errands, and stopped at a stop sign and watched three young males open the door of a late model Chrysler with a screwdriver.
Using such an odd key, their age and dress, pretty much told me they were not the owners. I grabbed my cell phone and called the local PD, as I made a U-turn and followed behind from enough distance to keep them in sight without being obvious.
Eastpointe PD joined me about a mile down the road where I made a turn and headed back to the PD to fill out a witness statement.
Turned out that yes, the car was stolen, the 15 year old driver was arrested for possesion of a stolen vehicle and had two warrants out for his arrest. The second a 16 year old was on probation, following a car theft, the third had no record-yet.

I was stationed in Ft Huachuca for a year... pretty cool to hear about others being near there.
When I was there, we would go hiking off post on the weekends and camp out. We helped Border Patrol stop border hoppers all the time. One day we watched as 3 large bushes ran across a road. Under the bushes were 24 mexicans and 3 haitians. BP bought us lunch that day.

Good job helping out. I'm sure the owner is happy

I think we ought to make a special thread for stories like these.
