I have bought several things from Smarthomes,
also search for
X10 wireless camera systems.
x10 motion detectors
x10 hidden flood light camera.
I got burgurized 8 times at the same house
punks ripped a window out of the frame.
with in a month,
BaserRonin, "DRUGS!" was the first thing I thought when trying to understand why he would do that.
Still hoping and praying they get caught, especially before they hurt someone.

Make it take an army to back you down.
tpurdin, I meant to ask... how is your little boy doing after all this?
he is doing good, he mentioned it only once which was the night it happened but the only thing i really notice is him wanting us to stay closer to him he used to run off through the house and play and he stays a little closer to me or mom while playing now. but there are no other noticable signs.
tpurdin you are north east of where I am. I couldn't believe what I read with your first post. That is like something out of a movie. You ever thought about getting a furry four legged Canine? Not only a perimeter alarm it would be a play friend for the kid.
Tpurdin...I saw a news report of your story (that apparently came from a newspaper) at the USCCA forum. I forgot to copy and paste here as I read it this morning...

I thought of you all day today when I was at the zoo.
and as far as a k9 is concerned, i have a boxer but she is only a puppy and not very fierce. it will take months before she is ready to protect the home
forgot to mention this... you guys are going to get a kick out of this, so as i stated before they raised his bond to 250k and re arrested him in court on wednesday. well about an hour later before they were transfering the prisoners back to the jail this idiot decides he is going to try to escape. mind you they have already dressed him in his jail jumpsuit and had him in handcuffs he darts for the door out of the area 2 court and decides to run down the busiest streets in our town. they caught him running down the main street bridge with his handcuffs on and his prisoner uniform on. they have given him another felony 1 escape charge. so he went from 4 felonies to 5.
imagine a prisoner in handcuffs running accross a bridge on the main road in your hometown, just shows how stupid this guy really is.
Just goes to show "you can pick your friends but you can't pick relatives".
Glad you and your son are okay.
Only one thing to add... If you're still not sleeping, see a doc and get something to help with that. A mild sedative might be in order, and sleep will help you clear your head so you can process this better.
Wow @ this thread...and I can't believe on top of that the idiot tried to escape!
Good to hear everything turned out well for you so far. I hope they catch the others involved.
An intruder will be incapacitated by tear gas or oven spray, but if shot with a .357 Magnum will get angry and kill you.
scary, maybe. terrefiing, more like it. that's pretty bad when even family members rob you. trust no one, sad but true. at least you know who broke
into your home so you know who to go after. hope thier catch all three of
them before anybody else gets robbed(or worse) and most inportant,
YOU AND YOUR SON ARE BOTH ALIVE. thank god for that.
well hopefully you'll get to see him real soon...in the courtroom..
stay safe and keep us posted on how things go.

Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.
