ok so i have been reading every Scenario on this thread and on other parts of this fourm please explain your condition status like
Amber
Red
(green i get but i would like toi see what the differance is on as may people as i can )
i personaly veiw it like are arming status in the military:
Green : clear
Amber: mag in weapon no round in the tube ( possiable threat)
Red: Locked Cocked Ready to Rock ( threat more than likly presant)

If you don't want the long read, the short list goes
Red: You're on high alert and or ready to run/fight right now.
Orange: You are suspicious of something and getting kinda nervous.
Yellow: You are paying attention to your surroundings.
White: You are completely unaware of your surroundings and are a victim waiting to happen.
2 different sets of codes. Color codes refer to situational awareness. Number codes refer to weapon condition.
You should always carry one in the tube no matter what the condition.
Different associations have different conditions including the military, and most include situational awareness and weapon conditions, but there is no official "status code". Just keep one in the chamber and your eyes open
guess I am always RED, cause theres always a hollow point on call when I might need to squeeze.
seriously though, through this site, and reading much of the threads in this section, i am always in condition yellow, and have gone into orange once since getting my CCP.
I would like to thank the guys who have carried for long time, and give great advice as to what to do in scenarios(like answering door armed, looking around more often when in public ect.....). Its made me a better person for me and my wife!
Wife and I stay in yellow when out of our home and ready to move to orange if needed.
Code words for SA situations are very important between husband and wife.
The weapon is always 'ready to protect'...the mind is always in yellow...don't trust anyone!
Any time, any place...:yup:
Stay armed...stay alert...stay safe!
