    Got my MO permit yesterday.

Got my permit yesterday and was able to carry for the first time in public. First time was to Subway and Quiktrip which neither one had a "No weapons allowed" sticker. When I got home my wife asked me "very sarcastically" if I had to shoot anyone.

It was definately a different feeling but a very good feeling.

If you have the organ donor box marked "Yes" on your concealed carry permit, you may want to consider more training.

    Congrats!

Early on, I got a couple of those sarcastic comments from the wife too. Then, the day came when we found ourselves in a rather tense situation. Sarcasm changed to, "You have your gun, right!?!?" I still chuckle (to myself) when I replay that segment of the event in my mind.

Congrats on your permit. I know how you feel. Mine came in the mail today. I feel like I am five years old again and it is christmas morning. My wife feels much safer now when we are out. It feels good to be able to have the means to protect myself and family if need be. What an awesome sense of responsibility.

Ha, Ha, Now you need to get your wife to a CCW class. She can do the training at several ranges and by an independent instructor as you know, but what most people don't know is that most community colleges also offer CCW training at very reasonable prices. Here in St. Louis, classes are at the community college and qualifying is at a city police range.
Anyway, Congratulations on your endorsement. I hope you also obtained a Missouri Non-Driver ID rather than having CCW added to the top of your Driver's license.
I carry just about everywhere except work and places listed as off limits by state or federal law. I have to work on concealment with large guns. I know my 5" 1911 prints sometimes. Usually I carry a much smaller PPS 9MM and leave the big guys in the car.

Hubby and I have had our CCW for several years now. We have never had to use them, but feel much safer with the ability to defend ourselves....especially when we are visiting relatives in KCMo. Your wife should understand that it is not something you will use often...if ever, but the time you might need it is random and usually without warning.
It is another "tool" to use in your family's defense and as the saying goes, "The time you will need your gun the most is when you don't have it."

Congrats. My MO permit has seen a lot of use, not that anyone notices. It expires in a few months... need to get that renewed.
