    i\'m pretty sure i saw that map at packing.org or at least it is a very similar one.

    what exactly does \"may issue\" mean for California???

    It means they can... if they want to. They usually don\'t :(

    Frontsight, in one of the class descriptions says they empart knowledge on their students to be able to get a carry license in CA. Any validity to this???

    I don\'t know, but I would question them about it. Maybe they know someone. My understanding is (and maybe some of our CA members will chime in here) that California requiress you to obtain your permit from the local Police Chief or Sheriff. If you have a compelling reason they may issue you one but it is not likely according to the statistics and some of the information I have read over at packing.org, the best place to get that kind of information. If my information is off, someone correct me, please.
