No, I don't. My Glock 30 with 10 rounds of .45 ACP is heavy enough! But then again, maybe if I carried a spare mag on the other side, I wouldn't walk with a tilt. Sometimes I feel like the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

I wonder who or what those who carry extra ammo think they're going to run up against. Do you really feel like that many BGs are out to get you? I feel that if I need to reload, I'm already in way over my head.

I carry the extra mags for the one in a million chance the the mag in the gun fails. If you carry an auto loader you might want to rethink what you going up against.

The reason I carry a reload isn't necessarily for the extra ammo, it's for the extra mag. You never know when you'll get a malfunction, and it's much faster to use a separate mag for the clear and reload. Not to mention that I wouldn't want to put the mag that just had a malf. back into the gun.

Most of the time yes. With an auto a mag. in my off side vest or coat pouch, or a holder. If a wheel gun a speed loader.

Depends on where I am/going. The pistols I carry typically carry 14 or more. If heading to South Florida, I carry a spare 16 round mag and a five-shot snub as a backup.

Can someone recommend a good mag pouch, I currently have a multitool pouch I can use well enough, but it is big and bulky and prints very strangely.

    Need to define "good."

I have a few. Some quite different in style.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. If I do, it is on my pants pocket or in my truck.

No, I do not carry one. Usually have one in the truck just to have I guess. I have been tossing around the idea and need to invest in a mag holder. Especially with moving back to NY so all my high cap magazines are illegal here.

Sometimes a spare mag wallet (for single stack mags) from abetterholster.

Other times, a digital camera/PDA case on my belt.

Still other times, I use the mag pocket built into the Smartcarry.

The mag is just a part, If its not reliable its not a carry mag.
I don't carry a spare recoil plug, extractor, disconnector or sear spring either.

I do. In a multi tool pouch on the right (weak) side.
