No, I should more often though.

Primary plus keltec strong-side pocket normally.

If going to Miami or Orlando- The above plus hi-cap for primary weakside iwb and backup mag for keltec in weakside rear pocket.
If you're going to carry one weapon, might as well carry two, because as the saying goes, "Two is one, and one is none."

One or two extra magazines, off-side front pocket. I want to make myself a tuckable mag holder, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

If im going to an area that i know to be "iffy," ill take one along in my pocket. I tend to not frequent those areas though, so its not too much of an issue. I do keep a loaded mag in my truck though.

I carry one or two reloads for every gun I carry. They reside in different locations depending on how large the reloads are and type of clothing worn.

Most commonly they are carried on my belt in a magazine carrier on the off side, in my pants pocket or in a magazine carrier for the ankle.

I don't like ankle carry for a handgun because of the bulk and weight, but I don't mind carrying reloads and money or ID on the ankle and frequently do.

Lately, I've been keeping it in a multitool pouch in my front pocket. Having the pouch on my belt proved too uncomfortable. I don't really expect to have to use it, but it doesn't hurt to have it there.

A few weeks ago at the range I practiced using it...removing the pouch from my pocket, the mag from the pouch, and popping the mag into the gun took at least a good 15-20 seconds. Still, better than nothing.

My LCP is my BUG and I carry 1 extra mag for it in a small knife sheath on my belt. My primary has been my .357 SP-101 lately and I carry a speedloader for it...

My Glock-36 is my EDC, and always carry an extre mag on the weak side...sometimes two if traveling to Jax or Orlando.

For those who pointed out that I should carry an extra in case my mag fails, I ask:
If you don't trust the mag in your pistol, shouldn't you have better mags--or carry a revolver? If I have to think about "If this firearm fails..." I shouldn't be depending on it.

If you have to draw your weapon and, Heaven forbid, that mag you loaded fails, do you really think you have time to reload before the BG puts one (or more) into you?

Most civilian SD situations are over very quickly with few shots fired. They're not the drawn-out shoot-outs envisioned. What's in the firearm is more than adaquate in the vast majority of cases. Sure, there's the rare exception to this, but what are the odds of it ever happening to you?

Of all the people who carry, how many ever have to pull their weapons?
Of those that do have to pull a weapon, how many have to fire them?
Of those who have to fire them, how many have a failure--or have to reload because they used up the mag?

Good question. I found that the .380 on my ankle was the only way I could carry every day. My daily work wardrobe prevents me from concealing on my waistband or in my pocket. I wanted the carry to be habitual and the ankle is my lowest common denominator.

Great idea. I could get away with that.

By that logic, there is no need to carry at all. Statistically it is unlikely that your firearm will ever be needed (though maybe home invasion is more likely?). Of course, the odds that you need your gun and it fails are likely astronomical.

I think the point is that for many, carrying an extra magazine isn't really too difficult, so they figure they might as well.
