Wow... that's all good. We wish they would get the 'can keep firearm in car without employer's being able to terminate employees' , but not there yet.

We actually have a law protecting other people, but not employess.

    Indiana CLP turnaround

Hey not to get off topic but does anyone in Indiana know how long CLP takes to get back in hand after submitting? I am going into week 5 now and still waiting. Thanks

Last I heard was 8 weeks, they are a little back logged.

Did you apply for the "Life-Time" personal protection?

Heck yes! The only way to go IMHO!!! I am going to Georgia at end of April and would like to be able to carry on that trip but will not do it without the CLP. V

Inixd, normally the wait is about a month and a half, thats when i got mine, and this is why i am glad that when i was born i was born into the FREE land of Indiana, where personal protection still means carry a gun however, whenever, and mostly whenever i feel i need too, i can use any ammo i want except AP of course, Tazer's, even the LEO models are legal, OC spray is legal, and I can defend myself in home, vehicle and i do not have to retreat from a threat, I love Indiana

Congratulations! Sounds like us KY folk could use some of your Hoosier Wisdom. I love my state, but we could use some extra "frivolous" rights...

    Yeppie!!!

We just went from a 6 to a 4 on the Brady Bunches State scale!!! I love losing points with them!!!!
    Congrats Indiana!
I had not heard about this until today when I read this thread. I never could understand how the State can decide to confiscate peopleís legal owned firearms in those situations; the only they do is to leave law-abiding people at the mercy of criminals and psychopaths who without doubt are willing to use their guns to commit crimes.

For those interested the TN bills are SB3009 & HB3141. Please contact your state reps and urge passage.
