Congrats on the Supertuck!
What is the point of carrying cocked and locked without one in the chamber? I understand your apprehension, get to the range and practice practice practice!
Work with a condition one (one in the chamber, full magazine, cocked, safety on) from a table or bench. Work on picking it up and dropping the safety with your thumb then firing. Be comortable with this before you work on drawing from the holster in condition one. Drawing a 1911, releasing the safety, and firing is really a simple process. Do learn and get to the point where you can carry condition one, otherwise that second or 2 that it takes you to remember and chamber a round may be your last.
You should do a complete 1911 Function Check in order to make certain that everything on your pistol is functioning as it should function.

Make certain that your thumb safety is not mushy feeling & that it has a positive ON/OFF feel.
Then you're "good to go" for carry with a chambered round.
Ive allready put 1200 rds throught it and function test it every cleaning after eeach use. Ill be carrying cond 1 next carry. Was just a little nervous the first time . I live in N.H. and work in Mass where I cant carry .
It took my horsehide supertuck about two weeks or so before it would stop creaking like a saddle when I walked around. Now it's silent (and deadly!).
Congrats! Glad you enjoy it.
Carry A full size Springfield.
