I checked the mail this afternoon and was surprised to find my CCW permit in hand! It took 9 weeks from the time I turned in my application.
I had already planned on making a trip to Walmart to pick up a few needed items so I figured why not pop my carry cherry at the same time. So off I went with my G19 in my Pure Kustom holster. First stop in Walmart was of course the ammo counter. I picked up a 100 count box of Winchester (at a decent price $23.97). I have to say I did wonder if I was printing or if anyone was looking at me harder. I'm sure that feeling and worry will fade and turn into confidence with time.
Today was a good day!
great feeling isn't it?

It's nice to know that one does not have to be defenseless...

Its like christmass morning when you were 5. I was very happy the day mine arrived as well. Carry everywhere and be safe. After short order it will be as natural as having your wallet and keys with you. Most people never notice you are armed.
When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid.
Congratulations and safe travels!

Freedom doesn't mean safe, it means free.
The thing about "defense" is that it has practically nothing to do with guns. (As passed on by CCW9MM)
This is really good news!!!!
NOT LIVING IN FEAR, JUST READY!!!
I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness,
nor the arrow for its swiftness,
nor the warrior for his glory.
I love only that which they defend.

Congrats! I hope you never ever have to use it, but it's nice to know it's there if you need it.

Either you are a weapon and your gun is a tool or your gun is a weapon and you are the tool.
Starting out with a G19 in a Pure Kustom?! You sure learn a lot quicker than I did! (well... most do ). Congrats!
