It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!
You cannot choose the conditions for a gunfight, so train in all conditions!
True NY. In Georgie we do not have to inform, but as adaman said, I would rather you be at ease with me, ticket or not, by my being honest and upfront. I have several state and federal LEOs and they have said they would much rather be told than to have that "accidental" discovery. Way to go adaman!
Better to have and to hold, than to leave in the nightstand.....
That's a great story. They should all go that smoothly.
I've been pulled over twice since carrying... Here in Missouri. Both went just about exactly the same way adaman04's encounter went!
That's why I get a little confused at some of the horror stories.... Stories of LEO's emptying the gun and putting the bullets in little baggies, making the gun get locked in peoples trunk. Cuffed, stuffed and detained for an extended amount of time.
Sometimes I wonder what permit holder did or looked like to get on the officers bad side.
Anyways... Great story with great outcome! Thanks for posting it adaman04
