Well, this is strange...
My wife and I took the Utah concealed carry class together, mailed our applications in the same day, (Jan. 26th), Utah cashed our checks on the same date, and her permit came in the mail yesterday, (exactly 60 days) but mine didn't.
I hope mine is on the way too! I'm sure there is no problem with the background check, as I passed for my CA permit, and have no criminal record at all.
Anybody else have a similar siuation?

They probably noted that you are a CA permit holder, thus must have some sort of improper/illegal/unethical ties to the state government!

Well, my wife is also a CA permit holder, so I don't think that's it.

Here in Michigan, Dad, hubby and I all took out CPL class together 01-24-09 and submitted our CPL applications together 01-29-09.
I received my CPL 03-20-09, hubby got his 04-17-09 Dad finally got his on 05-15-09.
Dad's was delayed due to fingerprint problems, I still have no idea why hubby was a month behind me in getting his?

Could be due to the increased amount of applications they are recieving and not taking them in any particular order.
The county where I reside has at least 100 new applications pending and only one lady in the Sheriff's office to process them. It takes her a month just to clear a few at a time.
Plus, all the renewal applications that come in as well.
I would say your department is over-woked and under-staffed.

Same thing happens in TN. I think it just depends on where they stop processing for the day. Once the stagger starts from missing the "cutoff" for the day if you will, that application simply moves along another time line.

Stop complaining. You are truly among the few, the proud, and the elite citizens of the socialist State of California to be blessed with a CA CCW permit. Yes, I wish I could get one...

I don't know about Utah, but Florida has a number you can call to find out the status of your application.
A possibility that others haven't mentioned is that someone with the same name might have committed a felony, and they might need more time to run that down.

Well, of course she is, but thankfully I'm the more ruggedly handsome type!

Just send them an e-mail, they're good about responding quickly.
