I'm in sales and have had a few close calls, I was at a customers facility and I turned a corner and ran my holster into a pole. The gun and holster to the brunt of the impact so it didn't really hurt but it made a distinct sound. The customer noticed and looked at me a little funny but I just kept moving and moved on with our conversation.
It made me a little nervous but all was ok.

All is well that ends well. The crossbreed is a good holster.

Sounds like a pretty close call. You may want to consider a more discreet carry method with a smaller package while at work in the future.
Glad you remained undiscovered. But spend some time evaluating ways to lessen the chance.

Whew, close one. My only real criticism here is that you let her close enough to touch the phone case. Yes, it ended up being what she was referring to, but what if it wasn't?

Much like a blade stance, you can control which side people are on by how you postition your body, whether standing or sitting. Just gotta find a clever way to get them on your left side instead of your right. With a Crossbreed though, it's pretty tough not to conceal. She proved this by noticing your cell phone instead of your weapon.

That's one reason I don't get overly concerned about printing; most people think it's a cell and will believe you if that's your answer.

I've smacked my gun into a few things. I don't even look around; I just rub my elbow like that's what hit the door jamb, pole, etc., since the gun rests below my elbow anyway.

If you're printing and someone asks, here's a variety of answers that may not lead to any more questions:
- Medical device
- Insulin pump
- Colostomy bag (no one will ask add'l questions)
- Cardiac monitoring unit
- Brachytherapy radiation therapy unit (they won't get too close)
- Hip or back brace
- Penile implant pump (again, no questions)
- I'm just glad to see you (you might get lucky)
People are less likely to ask questions about medical stuff, especially something that is somewhat sensitive or embarassing.

I've thought about the colostomy bag answer but I'm one of those freaks that think if you say it to much it will come true. I know I have issues(more than just that one).
I plan on telling people that I wear a back support if someone ever ask about the bulge on my backside. It does go with the kind of work I do. A lot of people wear them because of lifting things all day and I used to wear one at my old job but I don't with this job because I don't lift near as much stuff anymore but nobody knows that.
I do like the penile implant pump but my wife would not think that was funny if it got back around to her that I was telling people that. I do like that though.

Over time, you have to say enough shock stuff that your wife will never be surprised or embarassed. After 17 years, my wife wouldn't even flinch at that. Heck, as part of a charity fund raiser for the American Cancer Society, I participated in a beauty pagent....all guys...not dressed as guys either....and I won!?!?!? You know how my wife found out? My name and picture was on the front page of the local newspaper (along with the story of it being a charity event). She was quite proud (lol).
