Gunny,
Congrats on the new permit. Celebrating with a few beers too, eh? Just kidding.
Will you be driving or flying into Charlotte, NC? If you fly in, my brother works for USAirways at the airport. His crew works with the baggage that gets crammed.....I mean, loaded into planes. If you fly USAirways, he may get the honour of smashing....er loading your stuff into the cargo hold of the jet.
May I suggest staying at one of the Drury Inns at Charlotte. They are good hotels, we stay in them, and they are very nice to Canadians too.

Yep, we are flying United then US into Charlotte. Please thank your brother in advance for abusing our luggage.
Thanks for the recommendation of the Drury but we've already booked at the Hampton.

No problem, and I'm sure there will be no extra charge for the service!
By the way, go to this Youtube link and watch the video of "United Breaks Guitars" by The Sons of Maxwell, a musical group from Nova Scotia. It's a hoot! You may want to reconsider United Airlines after viewing it though!!

I don't gain any more states with it, but as Utah and PA refuse to renew Canadian applicants, it sure don't hurt!!
BTW, nasty snow in the passes this time of year!!

What, no Florida? Come on Gunny, you're slippin'...

Hey, if they'd issue to me, I'd have one.
I think I have a permit from every state that will issue to a Canadian. If anyone out there knows of anyone else that will give me one, please let me know!!
