Question IWB, gun grip is chafin me bad.

Ok, here is a little background. I carry a Glock 26 in a Comp Tac MTAC holster at around 4:00. The holster is very comfortable, and I have it adjusted to perfection.

When I just wear an untucked t shirt, the mag and side of the gun rub me wrong. It is a minor inconvinence unless I am very active. If I am outdoors doing my thing, the rubbing can become nearly intolrable. Last week while goofing around on the river banks, I had to stick duct tape on my side to end the rubbin! I am a plump 30ish dude with some minor love handles, but I am not a fatty. 6'1 230 is not too bad. There should be a solution to this!

In the cooler weather that we have much of the year here in MN, I wear an undershirt. With the warmer weather we are having, this is unpractical. My only other option is to carry OWB and print like crazy or pocket my LCP. I love my Baby Glock and I hate to leave it home!

I live in Southern California and I wear a light weight T shirt( wife beater style) I survive the heat. I grew up in MN and granted we don't have the humidity you do but I don't have another solution.

I had the same problem, grip rubbing my love handles while exercising (walking).

This 100% solved it for me:

    Amazon.com: Under Armour® Heatgear™ Full T-shirt: Sports & Outdoors

I bought a bunch of white Under Armour® Heatgear™ Full T-shirt. They are tight against the skin and are very good in the heat/sun.

Over it I wear a tall XXXL cotton T-shirt.

I also wear Heatgear underwear and that solves the problem of the insides of my thighs rubbing each other raw.

Can you change your carry position to a more 3:00 or 3:30 position?

I moved mine forward to keep the pistol grip off of my "kidney" area. It is much more comfortable this way.

I too use an MTac and I have no issues with my XD45 now.

Funny... At my current gig I open carry a 92FS on post and just shove it in my belt off-post; I've developed a callous outside of my right butt-cheek and almost forget it is there after awhile....;^)

I thought I was the only one that happened to. In my case it's my belly that's rubbing against the inside of my thighs.

No matter how hot it gets, I always wear a tucked in white tank top style shirt under whatever I am wearing. I carry my 27 in an MTAC in warmer months and never have an issue. 5'10" 170. Holster worn at 3:30 - 4:00.

A 'wife-beater' under the T-shirt works, or use a holster with a 'body protector'...either or both should take care of the problem.

there are lots of extremely light weight undershirts out there. Take a look at them. If not, try moving the holster to a diff position (such as 3:00), and see if that works

It's like we're long lost brothers...that's my same setup, except mine's cowhide. Almost always have a wifebeater under what I'm wearing.

My m&p had a ridge on the magazine which rubbed me so I smoothed it out with sandpaper. I also stuck some velcro, the soft fuzzy side, to the grip so it wouldn't chaffe. After a month or so i took the velcro off and no problem. The velcro patch was small and it did not interfere with my grip.

    Ditto What they said ^^^
Just start wearing an undershirt or "wife-beater". I wear one every day no matter what else I'm wearing and I'm sure the humid heat of the southeast coast is worse than MN...

Has your snow even melted yet?
