Sent in my application today
I just mailed in my application for my ccw permit. I know AZ passed the bill not requiring a permit and it will take effect in about 90 days but I already took the class so I figure I might as well still get my permit!

lots or reasons to get a CCW in AZ, still
Having an AZ permit will serve you well in many regards. You will legally be able to carry in bars and restaurants (unless they are posted), your permit will grant you carry privileges in many states you may visit, you can carry concealed in a vehicle, and it will streamline any firearm purchase at retail.

I'm a huge fan of AZ's new constitutional carry, but like gasmitty said, the permit will open up other states that require you to have a CCP

It will also exempt you from the Federal Gun Free School Zone issue...

Might it wells get it, so that you can go into other states.
I rather be safe then sorry.
It's better to have it when you need it then need it and dont have it.

Also - when you travel to reciprocating states, you can carry with no worries.

School Zone in AZ
What is the source for this. I took the class last year and instructor said that you still had to observe the Federal School zone law.
