my subconscious must be trying to tell me something.
For you franklin county ohio residents, or any other county boarding delaware county give them a call. They can get you in quickly and they have longer hours (9-4) compared to franklins (11-2).

I am jealous. Applied on the 18th of March for mine in Wake County, NC. Still waiting. Can take up to 90 days, but we're a shall issue state so its just playing the waiting game. I fondle my G19 and hate to leave her at the house when I walk out the door.

Congratulations. That may actually be too fast IMO. Could a permit with less anticipation time cause any devaluation in the overall value of such documentation and what it entails? I hope not. On the other hand, the 'process' should be easier, more streamlined, and take less time for all of us law abiding citizens of America in my opinion since we continue to pay our dues in taxes to help the system operate.

Isn't that the way it should be in ALL 50 states (57 if you're Obama)?
Congrats!

My Texas permit took just over a month. I was very surprised, was expecting to wait the 60-90 days.
Knowing is half the battle.

Got my first permit in June 2002. Had about the same experience as OP. Class on Saturday, turned paperwork in to Utah BCI (and had picture and fingerprints taken) on Monday, got concealed permit in the mail on Thursday.

As I recall it took 10 days for my original permit. Our Sheriff's department is pretty efficient and quite supportive when it comes to CPLs. That's the way it should be in all 50 states as far as I'm concerned.

Taking my class on 5/1. Soon in Az a class will not be necessary, but I feel I need the knowledge that will be imparted by taking the class. I am looking foward to it.

Michigan requires a class also, 5 hours classroom/3 hours range and which if you're at all familiar with firearms and can read, is a waste of time. The permit usually takes about 6 weeks to arrive.
