    Again, non-res permits won't be needed as they well honor ALL state's permits.

    Thumbs up Iowa now a "shall issue" rather then "can issue"

    Iowa has turned the circle and is now a shall issue state. Thanks for all the support and the encouragement.

    and that means that when you apply, you shall be granted a permit, right? it's not up to the state's discretion?

    As long as you are not a prohibited person, you must be approved.

    I'd doubt they'd get much. Since currently the IA permit is not widely recognized and won't be needed next year, people will still go through FL or UT's mail order permit service.
