    Carrying a BUG

Question, where do you carry your bug? Weak side, strong side? How often do you practice with it? I carry mine weak side front pants pocket and practice with it as often as I do my primary pistol, which is a minimum of 100 rounds twice weekly. Most of my practice with my bug (about 80%) is with my weak hand since this is the side I carry on.

When I began carrying a bug several months ago I carried it strong side, same side as my primary. However I recently took a class where the instructor recommended weak side carry. That way if my strong hand is occupied with another critical task my bug is accessible weak side. I am interested in what methods other bug carriers use.

Sometimes I pocket carry strong or weak side back pocket as if it's my wallet. (I actually use a money clip for cash, ID & credit cards in the bottom photo)

Other times I pocket carry weak side front pocket.

Lately I carry IWB on weak side with the mag carrier for my primary weapon in the photo below. That is a nice set up that seems to work pretty well so far. I've only had it a couple months though. But I'm liking it so far.

Also, frequently my BUG is a hi-capacity XD9sc instead of the Ruger LCP.

That's a very cool mag pouch/back up rig, if you're sharing the info on it I'd like to be included.

When I work I carry a BUG, seldom when I'm off duty. I carry a j-frame in the inner pocket of the off side cargo pocket on my pants.
As far as practice, whenever I'm shooting (usually a couple of times a month) I'll run a few cylinders through it, practice my draw, etc. I don't have the money nor the time to burn 200 rounds a week.

looks like it's from Raven. Double mag pouch and a holster bolted together. RCS is good stuff. I have 12 holsters and 24 single mag pouches (2 for each gun). Just received my holster for a PM9 placed before the Magpul DVD hit the streets. Some folks report 90+ day wait.
