    Interesting Conversation with Relative

So Here I am 45 years old and making the desecion to get my CLP and still waiting after 7 weeks in in the state of IND. State website says 60 days wait unless there is a problem and i would know if I was a felon... It has to be here soon right?!?!? Anyways, so I mention to my dad that because I am traveling more for business I thought it not a bad idea to get my CLP. So out of no where he says that when he is on the road he is always carrying his pistol in his car and even his wife has started carrying in her vehicle when she travels out of state to visit her daughter!!! I am standing there thinking well if you have been thinking this is such a good idea where the hell of I been??? Hello???????? I mention that I have been going to the range and getting more comfortable with my XD. He says that he has been wanting to give me a couple of pistols that he has had for some time. All in all it was a cool conversation and best case scenrio but at the same time I walked away scratching my head thinking where have I been...lolol

Does he have his CLP? My dad carried his entire life and never had a clue he could have done so legally. Fortunately, he was happy to take the course with me.

CLP? Indiana we call it a LTCH (License To Carry a Handgun), the reason I say this is only to let you know that with an Indiana License, it doesn't matter how you carry or where (in any vehicle I mean).

Welcome to the forums from a fellow Hoosier, a wealth of info here that is for sure!

Question, does your father and wife live here? Where ever they live, they should make it legal, because it could cause trouble if a LEO pulls them over and finds out.

Not knocking you or your family, but it would be better if they carried legal.
