How long is your states permit valid????

Mine's issued through SC and is valid for 4 years, I'm getting ready to apply for my NH non-resident permit, which is also valid 4 years. Just curious, how long other state's permits are valid.

Ohio is 4 years. And coincidentally, I've got a NH non-resident application filled out and ready to send...

What state was it that just implemented the life-time permit, and I think it would be neat to see one of these. What's it say issued 12/20/04 to infinity?

California is two (2) years. And they said they will not remind you when the renew date arrives.

NH resident is 4 years for $10, MA non-resident is only 1 year for $100 I think.

5 years in Michigan. That's $105.00 . . . more expensive than many others, but when you figure it's $21 per year it doesn't sound quite as bad, I guess.

When I originally posted this thread, I wasn't thinking about cost, but that's a very valid issue. In SC it cost me $50 for the CCW course, another $15 for, passport photo and fingerprint cards. And another $50 for my permit, pretty reasonable, if you ask me.
