    Application update for IND

    Just called to check on my CLP here in Indiana and was told the turnaround is about 10 weeks from the time your check was cashed. As of this week they are now working on applications submitted March 1st. I sent in my paper work on the 9th of March. Sounds like I better plan on waiting another month or so. I have some road trips coming up and I hope it gets here sooner. Perhaps I will start looking at IWB holders and get one order to kill some time..lol! I am trying to positive!!! The state website said about 60 days turnaround time so I have been looking for the permit in the mail. It always helps to follow up on things.

    Time

    My lifetime permit took about 8 weeks from when I sent it all in.
    Assault is a type of behavior, not a type of hardware.

    I started buying holsters well before I applied. Gave me a chance to at least wear them around the house and get used to them and see what worked and what didn't. That way when I got my license, I was ready to roll.

    Question, do you have a current license? If you are renewing and upgrading, all you need is you old license and the receipt that you did renew.

    No, I am appling for the first time and I did apply for a lifetime license... I have been wearing my UM holster around the house and know that MIGHT work in a last resort situation but not a very comfortable set up. I talked with Luke Adams and got a leather rig and belt on order today as a birthday present to myself so I just need to hang tight.

    Well train at home as much as you can, read up on the laws and shoot your carry weapons as much as possible and try to be responsible about protecting yourself and family!
