For those of us living in very restrictive states and locales... federal/national reciprocity looks/sounds good...certainly better than our current/hopeless situations.
To those of you living under good gun laws... you have much to lose and little to gain.
It just seems to me the 2nd Ammendment should be treated like the rest of the Bill of Rights...and apply to people wherever they live in this great country.
The bills that have been tried to implement "National Reciprocity" reflect that you MUST adhere to the STATE laws currently in effect just like the reciprocity we have now. Your state's strict or loose gun statues do not travel with you. Like your drivers licence. There are no real federal driving laws, you obey the laws of the state you are driving in.

All we want the federal government to say is that each state that has some form of concealed carry must honor another state's permit. Only Illinois and Wisconsin are out of luck.

when you let the feds get a toe in, the bureaucracy will slowly or quickly change things and put restrictions on where, how and when you can do what they allow you to.

stomp on the toe while you can. usually the foot or leg is too large to remove.

Thats where you need to change the laws at the state level, Not the federal level !

The vote passed last year for it, but there were not the 60 votes to protect it from other legislative maneuvers. I am optimistic. Keep the pressure on the ruling elites and vote them all out. Article follows on this:
