    Simple yes/no.

If you can't, don't. Not to difficult I don't think. Maybe it is?
Dont sweat it. Those who take the fun out of fun-dip will be on every message board.

It's a valid question, perfectly appropriate for a message board.

Have you ever had to use your weapon?

Actually surprised at how many folks have issues with animals haha.

It's kind of funny really. I live closer to a city and have no issues besides hitting that random deer with a car.

    Yes.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

About using guns for jobs and fun, with fatal last words: "Don't worry, it's not loaded!"; "Only an idiot would shoot a ramrod!"; "Don't worry, nothing ever happens in Greenville or ______________ ."

Never had to use a weapon against a human being. I drew my gun twice on humans. If you are ever unfortunate enough to be in a situation where your life is threatened and you have the calm to be able to draw your gun first, you will understand... If you had never, you will be amonst the critics and BS mongers in this site and those like this one. Both instances where I drew my gun the bad guy took off. One even dropped his unloaded gun and ran after he pleaded "mister, please don't...". One had a kitchen knife. Both intended to rob me. I even had the pleasure of going out unarmed with a coworker in an urban environment when we were robbed at gunpoint. I was on the obscured side of the panel van when it all went down so I only got to see the bad guy take off with his wallet. I went unarmed because he had a 38! If you can't discuss defensive carry in a defensive carry site then *** for? That isn't a toy, that's not Bling, this is not a sport. This is life and your choice to defend yours. Thank you Millerb7 and bunker for staying on track.

    Not harsh, just smart.

    Just drawing, or firing?

    Curious how many have.

More than once just the sight of me reaching for my firearm and them noticing I really am armed, has made someone move along.

    Vietnam, yes.

22 years in LE, never on the job.

Used mine once walking home from a friend's house at 2:00 AM back in the late '70s when jumped from behind...but only used it as an impact weapon (38 snubbie...front sight did a job on the guy's face).
Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

I met a retired NYPD officer that never even had to draw his. With most of those years on the street, I think that's pretty lucky.
