Sorta got made today...Sorta
So, I was at a "store" buying some rewritable CD's and some computer paper, and I went up check out at, well, the checkout counter.
(For reference, I had just finished working out so I was still wearing my athletic-type clothes with my 5.11 Sling Pack w/ the front pistol pouch that runs across the chest w/ my M&P9c inside).
So, I'm talking to the guy, and he says, "You know man, that pouch on your bag really looks like a holster. I mean it really does."
I responded with, "You know what, it sure does, and I've been getting that a lot lately. It's definitely not the greatest design for a pouch on a backpack, ya know?"
He said, "Yeah man, I hear ya. It's crazy that'd they'd make it look so much like a holster."
So, I sorta got made today, sorta.

Here's a picture of the bag and the pouch if you have never seen it:

He could have been smarter than he let on. He might have known exactly what it was and was just toying with you to see if you'd fess up.

Eh, it's worked well so far. I've worked by countless LEO's with it on, and only once has one of them given me a second look. It does look like a holster, but you know
, they only know what's going on when something smacks them right in the face.

Is it just the pic, or is that one pink? If so, that might be what's drawing all the attention. Ha!

Weird, it's tan, and it's tan on my screen, too. Your comp is up to some funny business man!

Yeah, you know all those stupid "sheep" who can't even guess I have my rockin' M&P right HERE, baby. Yeah, they can't figure it out 'cuz they're sheep just waiting to be sheared by a slick, smart fellow like me. Man, I must be some kinda James Bond fooling all those ignorant rubes who don't know I'm packing heat, baby!

Dude, he was callin' you out on your ccw 'cuz most guys don't carry a handbag, i.e. purse. My twelve year old daughter has a pink "backpack" that looks just like that. :)

Looks pink to me too
I could see using that as a gym bag. What do you do with your carry when you are working out?

No he did not, at least not legally. No weapon can be seen. It doesn't matter what people think is in the bag. Maybe its a camera. I some times use the maxpedition fat boy, and a uncle mikes pouch that looks like a fanny pack but with good belt loops. Sometimes my gun is in them, some times other things. Just have a response like its my gym bag or great for my ipod.

Is that the one that also holds an SMG? Was thinking of trying it with my Uzi SBR. Just because I can.

Not sure what you mean by "legally" made, southchatham, since even printing is not against the law, and he didn't even print. That doesn't mean it isn't pretty darn obvious to some knowledgeable people when you are carrying a weapon, especially when the OP's method of carry is in a 5.11 Sling Pack with front pistol pouch...).
