Thumbs up Got To Carry For A Week, It Felt Good!!

Even though I hold five concealed carry permits, I cannot carry in my own Country, as per my signature line.

Well, we just returned from the NRA convention in Charlotte. And while I was unable to carry at the convention itself or the other venues, rest assured my P7 was on my hip in my TT high ride holster supported by my Beltman Belt, the rest of the time.

I am truly envious of the members of this forum that get to carry every day. Do not take this ability for granted.

I only carried for a week and now it feels very strange to not have a hunk of steel at the 3:30 position.

It is not easy but it might be possible to turn things around up there. I wish you luck.

GB, I think you once mentioned that your wife was a US citizen, is there a chance you'll ever relocate to the US?

I'm in a situation like you. I can't carry in my own STATE, but I can carry in 33 other states. Took a trip to Tennessee a couple weeks ago and got to carry. It was great! :)

I too envy the other people on this board who get to carry everyday.

Mrs GB has made no secret of the fact that she wants us to move South, but Victoria is my home. I've lived here since 1967.

My parents live close by and are elderly. Mrs GB has said that once they are no longer a factor, she will increase the pressure to move.

    GB,
How did you transport your weapon, did you fly or drive?

    Welcome to the forum!!

We flew, Victoria to San Fransisco, then in to Charlotte. On the way back was Charlotte to Toronto, then back to Victoria.

Customs in both directions were a piece of cake. I have every document known to man for this purpose, issued by your BATFE and our RCMP. And as usual, of course, I knew more about how to check in a firearm than any of the three airlines that I flew on. Fortunately I had printed out the rules for all three and was able to show them what to do. In spite of that, United did the paperwork incorrectly and I got "the page" while waiting to board the plane and had to meet up with the TSA guys.

All in all, no real issues!
