Second CCW course was today. AAR.
Taught my second CCW course today. Small group of 6 ranging in ages from early 20s to early 60s. What a great group they were. They really came alive in the legal discussion and asked a lot of great questions. All participants seemed very interested in the topics and hand.
Once we got to the range (beautiful day if not a little warm, about 87 degrees) things went great. Guys who had been shooting for 40 years took some pointers about thumbs forward grip and the advantages of running the slide with all 4 fingers instead of the pinch grip, etc. At the end I always ask everyone to go around and discuss something they learned or something they'd like to work on in the future. Everyone responded very positively and said they had a great time and learned a lot. I noticed ZERO safety violations at the range, didn't have to give so much as a warning. Great group of shooters.
Excellent group of level-headed Missourians who were a pleasure to have in the class. Definitely a bunch of "the good guys".
