I am going on a cruise in a few months, Jamaica being a one day stop. Sure does make me thing though.
Definitely also bad spots in Montego Bay but most of the "tourist traps" are fairly isolated unless you venture out into the town.
Was there a couple summers ago for a medical mission trip, and drove down to the south side of the island which is basically very rural and laid back. Felt pretty safe where we were as the locals basically catered to us since we were running a clinic for them. Good people there, shame what's going on in the city with the gangs
I've been to Jamaica probably a hundred times..Kingston is like Chicago. It's still the pirates haven. Other cities in the country are ok. It's just like anywhere else in the world. Big city=bad crime
The U.K. has set its people upon this same path. If we're not careful, the worthless tyrants and autocrats will shove us into this same void, a place in which the average person is unable to effectively defend against criminals.
