    Increased terror threats

Just found this on CNN, sorry if its already running in another thread, did a quick search and didn't see anything so here it is.

Washington (CNN) -- Just weeks after the failed car bombing of New York's Times Square, the Department of Homeland Security says "the number and pace of attempted attacks against the United States over the past nine months have surpassed the number of attempts during any other previous one-year period."

That grim assessment is contained in an unclassified DHS intelligence memo prepared for various law enforcement groups, which says terror groups are expected to try attacks inside the United States with "increased frequency."

Seems like as a good a reason as any to keep exercising our 2A rights.

Just goes to show that the current administration hasn't a clue when about stopping this stuff and protecting our country, but most of us already knew this, didn't we?

As much as I would like to blame Obama for this, I don't see how he's done anything that would lead to more terror attacks. He's pretty much left everything the way Bush had it as far as security policy. I do think they are emboldened by the fact that he is weak on National Defense, though.

Sorry but I donít see what having a hand gun or a long arm at home would do in many terrorist attacks. I could see them being useful in cases like an Intifada situation in America, where the primary method of attack was small arms. However that does not seam to be the tactic our enemies are using. I think our best defense is to be vigilante.

If handguns had been allowed on airline flights on 9/11 someone could have shot the hijackers before took over the planes. Also, someone might be able to draw and fire before they detonate their suicide vest.

That is a stretch. I have to draw the line at letting every Tom, Dick, and Harry carry a fire arm on an airplane, what happens when BG has a gun on a plane? That's right, shoot out at 32,000 feet. Those never end well. That being said, the Israelis have it figured out. There is an Air Marshall on every flight with an UZI. He sits outside the cockpit. No terrorists getting to the flight controls now!

Thanks I meant Vigilant. I am a horrible speller in all languages.
Might be able to kill the suicide bomber before he detonates the explosives. Maybe, most have a dead switch or a remote detonation anywise so I am not shore how much good it would do.
