Recieved some mail from the local PD today...

...and inside was my CPL! It only took 15 days to get it (the wait in WA is up to 30 days), so I am rather pleased! Now I just need a CC piece, but for now I don't have the cash, so does anybody have any suggestions for concealing a G17? If so, do you have any pics? Im 5' 9" and 170 lb, if that makes a difference.

P.S. I have searched for pics and suggestions for concealing this gun but most of what Iv found was not based on experience (just what they've heard on the internet, etc) so any advice from actual service-sized Glock CCers would be awesome!

    Thanks!

I don't carry a GLOCK, but I do carry a service sized pistol, I would recommend IWB, possibly a Crossbreed holster, well made, will conceal well.

One of my carry guns is a generation one Glock 17, which in it's first life was a police service weapon. Even though it has many many miles on it, it not only still looks nearly more importantly shoots flawlessly any ammo I put it, what more can I ask of a weapon. I carry it one of two ways, depending on weather and dress, either in a kydex OWB or using a tuckable IWB Kholster.

Congrats on your permit. Get a decent IWB holster and a decent gun belt. The varieties of both are endless.

Check out the holsters from our members who are holster makers. They are all excellent craftsmen who make some of the best holsters in the world.

Hey what county are you in? Pierce by any chance? Just wondering what the wait will be when I apply for mine in a few weeks.

Congrats! Very impressed by the speed that you got the permit...especially coming from Wayne County here. Spend the money on a good holster & gun belt and it will make CC'ing that Glock much easier.

I'm 5'11", 175#, and carry a full size M&P in a Crossbreed with a Wilderness Instructor CSM belt. No problems.

Thanks for the responses! Iv been looking at the holsters you alll have recommended and I think I will go with the mtac... for some reason Im drawn to that one! :) Ill order one up and see how it goes! Thanks again!

Nigel, I am an hour or two south of you in Cowlitz county. The funny thing is, a friend of mine applied for his CPL through the Cowlitz sheriff's office and it took 30 days exactly. I live within the city limits so I dealt with the city PD and it took half as long! Im not sure what the wait will be in Pierce county but it won't be more than 30 days according to Washington's CPL policy...

Carry whatever you have shot and feel comfortable with.

I have smaller hands so the Glock 19 was my choice. I have since switched to a Kimber CC 1911. Both are great weapons.

    Congrats and welcome!
