the way the first sign reads you either have to open carry in there or not have a license while concealed...

It should read "ATTENTION CRIMINALS: THIS IS A DEFENSE FREE ZONE!"

Criminals are covered then aren't they?
There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Unfortunately there is NO Open Carry in Texas.

It appears to me that the sign fails to meet the letter height and contrasting color requirements of Sec. 30.06, Tex. Pen. C., so it is not "effective notice." Nonetheless, the best practice would be to do business elsewhere. We had a few banks around here that put up 30.06 signs early-on, and after a few wealthy depositors either pulled their accounts or threatened to, they took them down.

Texas law requires it in both English and Spanish.

Without being there and seeing the sign, it is hard to tell if it meets the actual criteria for the 30.06. I would not want to be the test case and possibly loose a license over it.

A nice letter to the credit union president might be in order. I did it when my credit union posted an invalid sign, and today all signage is gone, and should remain that way.

Here is a link to the post with a copy of the letter that I sent to our CU president. http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulle...dit-union.html
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Does it being a FEDERAL credit union have any bearing? Or does federal make it sound more important.
