I consider my permit in the same category as my CCW, and that it is concealed also. Of course I'd show it to a leo, and am required to do so. Otherwise, I'd avoid "advertising, however "if" I needed a second ID for some unexpected reason, I'd be willing to use my permit.

My goal is to be concealed, but sometimes you have to be realistic as well.
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

No way. I only use it as an ID if I have to show it to an officer for any reason or when making a gun purchase. I will also show it to a few of my permit carrying buddies or to some that are considering getting a permit. But that is as far as it will go.

West Virginia is another state that doesn't have a picture on their CHL.
Actually the WV CHL is officially known as a "concealed pistol/revolver license" and states on the bottom in fine print that "Licensee must carry a state issued photo identification with this license".

they asked to see your I.D. not to see your weapon or if you have a weapon.

i have showed mine at the airport. my picture licence had not arrived and it was the only government picture I.D. that i had. not a big deal

In California the only requirements that I know of that we have to show ours is either to LEO, or when we purchase a handgun, to the FFL. Buying a handgun in Ca. requires either a CCW or a Handgun Safety Cert.

Not only No... But Hell No! I don't see any Pro's out of using your ccw ID as a form of legal ID.

    Never.

Nor does it reside behind my DL where it could be seen when I remove my DL.

Nor is it visible when I open my wallet.

No one's business but mine and any LEO that I'm interacting with.

You forgot to point out that when you drive through Texas you now tape it to your drivers side window!

Concealed is concealed. If you want attention, walk around in a Speedo.
