    Florida Sun Coast Gun Shows

I attend a show regularly that has a big sign at the entrance that says "no loaded firearms" I assume that someone with a Florida CWP can legally ignore the the sign and carry in the show.

I suppose you could, but if you are seen and asked to leave, you must comply or you could be charged with armed trespass.

Why would you think that? They mean everyone.

They ask upon entry if you are carrying and if you are they will ask you to unload it and put a wire tie through the action before you enter - or you cannot enter.

Signs have not legal weight in FL. Just keep your gun concealed, but if for some reason they find out that you are carrying and they ask you to leave then you better do it, otherwise you are armed trespassing. And you do not want to do that

Is it worth it to "sneak" your CW into a building full of guns and ammo after you paid to enter, only to get asked to leave because someone noticed it?

And why would you bother to carry it in if you have to wire-tie it?

The Orlando show has Leo's at all the doors asking if you have any guns or ammo. If you want to lie to them be my guest. The sign outside the Orlando gun show clearly states that no guns allowed even with CCW.

I really don't mind securing it there at the show. It would be a simple matter to throw a magazine in and cut the little tie off. or for that matter grab a gun and some ammo off of a table if the Zombies chose that particular place to rise from the grave.

I can remember one show at the old Ocean Center in Daytona when some expert fired a round of 9mm from a Luger into the rafters. I remember distinctly hitting the floor along with a dozen or so other people and looking up at all the people standing and staring up at the ceiling.

One of the last places that I would want to draw and fire a gun would be a Crowded area like a gun show! The chances for collateral damage would be huge....

The Sun Coast gun show in FT. Myer's is held in a county owned building and as such is illegal to carry in. Was there once when they arrested someone for concealed carry in show.

All it takes is one incident to be blown out of proportion by the media. Following their "logic" of how guns are evil and kill innocent people, there should be mass shootings at every Gun Show.

Where does it say that county owned buildings are off limits? I've never heard that?

Where did you get this info? You're posting bad info. If a LEO was at the door and asked me, I wouldn't lie to him.

    Or not.

Of course I let them zip my gun. I just always forget about the other one.
