What Do You Carry?
I got hired to fill in on drums in a Dixieland Band on June 19th. A day or two before the gig, I asked the wife if she wanted to go with me to find the place I was supposed to play and she agreed. I wasn't carrying my pistol, but my wife had her Ruger LCP.
We found the place and on the return trip, stopped at a Go Mart just off I-64 at the town of Milton. I went in to purchase a bottle of wine from Kirkwood Winery, they carry the ones we like. The cashier asked for my drivers license and I got it out of my wallet.
After viewing it, she then asked me "What do you carry?"
"What?" I said, and she said, "I thought I saw your Concealed Carry Permit, I have one too and was just curious what you carry."
I was rather pleased and told her what handguns I normally do, but didn't have them with me at the time. The Cashier says she packs a revolver most of the time.
I chatted with her for a bit, even showed her my Non-Resident New Hampshire License and how to get one. The male cashier was there and he too has a WV permit. I told them about D.C. and Handgun Law and they both were acquainted with the sites!
Now just how cool is that?

What you weren't there to knock off the place with your caulking gun?!?!?
j/k-sounds like you had a real good interaction with a few fellow carriers by accident.

It's nice to 'bump' into others who understand SD.

That's very cool. Chicks that conceal carry revolvers are hot.
But, you're a baaaaaaaad boy. Shame on you for not carrying.

I had the same type of encounter with the hotel clerk at the hotel I am staying at. Great conversation! Nice to know that others around me carry, and just goes to show that you never know who does or does not carry. I never would have guessed by talking to this very sweet young lady, but our conversation just went there...;-)

I would not leave the house without a loaded and chambered firearm and am identically armed while inside my home 99% of the time. Can't understand people who are occasionally unarmed.
What if that crazy thing that is never going to happen happens while you are unarmed? Talk about being naked.
