How to carry wearing a kilt.

I belong to a group of Kilt wearing aficionados a number of whom also carry for one reason or another. I would like to get some feedback on what you think is the best way to carry a concealed pistol while wearing a kilt. Gentlemen and ladies, the floor is yours.

You go old school and go commando?

Belly band or smart carry? A Utilikilts seems thick enough you could go IWB.

Why is it different than a pair of pants.... OWB, IWB, or that little bag thing...

Velcro a holster into the sporran? Does the Sgian Dubh count as a concealed weapon?

I would like to know also. Sometimes I wear skirts and was wondering how I could still carry. Thing is I read somewhere that the thigh holsters can be very aggravating to wear.

Well a number of gents have been advocating a thigh wear holter based on the experience of a young lady who carries that way. I personally use an elastic waistband holster that carries my Makarov and an extra clip very nicely. I just can't see fumbling around trying to reach under my kilt to get my weapon out. Might grab the wrong thing.

All you need are bagpipes. They were invented as a weapon of war, and will easily repel any attackers.

If that fails, you could hide a sawed off shotgun in one pretty easily. Just be sure which pipe you put in your mouth.

BTW, what's the difference between a bagpipe and an onion?

No one ever cries when you chop up a bagpipe.

Well, I might consider a thigh holster. And then I would consider NOT going commando. :)
