As unfortunate as that increase is, that's still one of the cheapest permit prices I've seen. It's pretty expensive here in NV, but at least the process is easy.
The new proceedures are not law yet.
$60.00 is the correct figure. $10 for L-1 to print ya and SLED still gets their $50 too.

Sure and extra 10 dollars ain;t much but then there are only 13 locations across the state. Closest to me is 60 miles round trip. That suxs.

here in NC .. $50 for the class (all day with shooting) .. $90 to the SO .. $15 for your prints .. $15 for a change of addy if you move (license & permit must match) .. small price to pay IMHO
Yes, worth it. But it really BITES that you have to get a permit and pay to exercise your 2A rights.

At least Iowa's inexpensive... $30 first year, including class. $5.00 subsequent years.
And, after the first of the year (2011)... $50.00 for first 5 years, $25 for each subsequent 5 years.
interesting. I hadn't heard anything about the increase or the electronic prints. wonder if that is a one-time thing, to get your prints in the electronic system, then back to $50 for renewals? If you already have your permit, do you have to get prints done again?
Currently I'm hoping my renewal arrives soon- I sent it off middle of May (online), and my current one expires July 5. It looks like I'll be temporarily disarmed in celebration of our Independence :(
You are right, FOOTS. Just another link we didn't need.
