    Hi,

This may sound silly, but I carry a baby Glock 33 Pocket Rocket with a 10 round mag, trust my marksmanship and trust my 357 Sig Federal HST LE carry ammo to do the job. After all if 10 rounds doesn't neutralize the threat, I am probably in way too much trouble to extricate myself from with a handgun.

Not silly at all Duke. My reasoning was carry a backup mag mostly if the first mag fails not round count, but if your going to carrying a backup why not a few more rounds since it isn't that much bigger. Just got me wondering if other people did it, seems like a lot do.

I think that's a phenomena with plastic guns... you know, "because you can." I carry a 1911 most of the time and one spare 8 round magazine for malfunction, not round count.

Dang! You are correct, I forgot the maxim with Autos...drop the mag when a mis-feed/malfunction occurs and insert a fresh mag!

Boy now I know I'm stupid, I completely forgot that axiom!

I very rarely carry a Glock, but despite the firearm I always carry an extra mag. Not that much because of the amount of rounds, but because the possibility of mag malfunction.

Yup. G26 with a G19 mag inserted (no spacer) plus another as a spare.

I really see no need for a larger spare mag for either my Glock-36, or my G-26. The rounds in the first mag will probably be all I would need in a 'situation'. The extra mag (from my thinking) is for a malfunction.

I carry my Glock 26 using a 12 round mag (the extender is a part of the magazine, not an add on). The back up is the same.

I carry my G26 with the 10 round in or the 15 round G19 mag in. One or the other. When i can find a mag holder that works for me I'll carry 10 inside and 15 on the waist.

If I carry the 26, I use a 15 or 17 round backup mag - whichever is already loaded, usually.

We travel a lot and live in Canada and travel the states a lot.... some states prohibit 'high capacity' magazines so we carry 10+1 hot G26 or G30 with two ten round magazines in reserve. Sometimes, depending on where we are, I will put on a second paddle magazine holder and carry 40 extra rounds. I NEVER travel with high capacity magazines over ten rounds. If you intend to remain in-state (home) then I would, if legal, carry the highest capacity magazines in reserve and I would carry two of them, even though reports say that the average gunfight is 6 seconds and 6 rounds exchanged.
