    CCL course around Cleveland

I've been intending to get my permit for a while, but got sidetracked for a bit. Was a bit leery, but ready to do it now. Does anyone know any good places in NE Ohio to go to. The only place i talked to was B&T so far. I'm looking to get it done as soon as possible.

I'm under the impression that each place has their on way of doing it. If anyone can recommend one, and why it would be great.

I did my training with this guy. Walton & Asssociates, Inc., Firearms Training Division The classroom part was down in Medina and the range time was in Barberton. I thought the class was pretty good, but clearly geared toward beginners. That's probably pretty standard for this type of class though.

They do all of the classroom time in one day and the range another. The classroom part makes for a long day.

If that's too far for you, you may want to check with the Stonewall range in Brecksville, someone probably gives a class there.

I did my training with Dan Clevenger at Riverside Range in the falls. He also does classes at other ranges. I was very impressed with his knowledge and I learned a lot from his class. I also enjoyed the shooting portion of the test because he had us do some different things, not just what is required. Also, we did a ton of scenarios and what is acceptable and what isn't. He was also very knowledgeable on all different types of firearms and was able to answer everyone's questions.
