Advantage of a pulsing laser light
Researching the new S&W Bodygaurd 380, I read the integrated laser is either constant beam or pulse.
What is the advantage of having a laser pulse?
Thanks for the insights.

Normally they are brighter and many people find them easier to see because there is "movement" to the light (the on/off)

Yep. The flashing of it on and off naturally draws the eye right to it.

If two members of a household are armed with laser-equipped weapons, and both are engaging one or more bad guys, it helps to knows which dot belongs to which weapon.

A laser can be a great training tool (pulse or not), but seems useless in a confrontation in a Wally World parking lot. You'll be lucky enough to have a second or two to react, yet alone to use sights or a laser.OMOYMV

According to our comments and such, Wally World has got to be the safest and most patrolled store in America!
The pulsing laser is also better to see in daylight.
