Location/type of carry gun
Do you wear the weapon, in the same body location, consistently?
I wear my IWB holster at 4 o'clock all the time, and it has a Glock in it 98% of the time. Other times a Kahr.
I wear OWB holster with Glock in heavy coat weather, at 3 o'clock.
The logic is carrying the same or similar action, in same location, so in the event I need to draw my weapon, it's in the same spot, and the weapon shoots the same.
This is a muscle memory issue. In a high stress scenario, I don't want to rely on remembering where the weapon is, or how to fire "this weapon".
How about you?

Yes, pretty much 3:30 at all times. The only difference is that I change sides based on what I'm doing. I also occasionally have a backup gun in the opposite side pocket.

1911 carried at 3 o'clock, on a long road trip Detective Special in shoulder holster plus 1911.

I mostly carry a Walther P99 in an OWB at 4:00. For any long drives I carry it in a Fist crossdraw/driving holster.

Most everything is carried strongside at 3:30 to 4:00 in either a Fist OWB, or Crossbreed Supertuck depending on what I am wearing.
I have found that works for me, so I stick with it regardless of whether I am carrying a 5 shot .357, a 12 or 17 shot 9mm, or a 1911.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

90% of the time at 4:00. The other 10% in a shoulder holster.

I agree with your thinking, it's muscle memory! When I was learning to drive a standard my grandpa told me that once I got used to it, even in a sudden stop my foot would find the clutch automatically. He was right, of course. I automatically "air shift" my husband's automatic-transmission and he laughs at me

When wearing light clothing (just a t-shirt) I'll "appendix carry" a Glock 26/27 IWB, or if wearing gym / sweatshorts I'll use a Smartcarry.
If I'm wearing more clothing then I will carry a Glock 19/23 IWB 3:00

Same gun (Steyr S40), same position (9 o'clock), same holster (either a Blade-Tech paddle or a JMG beltslide).

3:30 while driving and 4:00 the rest of the time no matter what I'm carrying. I alternate between may types of firearms, as of late it's a Kimber 3".
